BY THE C SHOW IN HILLARYS RESCHEDULED

We are happy to confirm that Iva Davies has recovered from his sudden illness and the By The C show in Perth has been rescheduled for this Sunday, May 7th, at Whitfords Nodes Park in Hillarys.

The previous lineup will remain, with Birds of Tokyo, Eskimo Joe and Sneaky Sound System joining ICEHOUSE on the rescheduled day.

Existing ticketholders can use their ticket for the rescheduled event. You do not need to do anything.

For those that cannot attend, please contact Ticketmaster to apply for a refund.

Iva Davies has said “I arrived in Perth early last week as I was keen to have a few days R & R and play some golf.

However, I ended up spending most of Wednesday and Thursday at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Emergency Department and had a surgical procedure on Friday, which meant I was unable to play on Saturday, which I know was not the news the 6000+ people who were coming to the show wanted to receive.

My team has been working overtime with the Zaccaria team to reschedule this show with this incredible line up.

And I’ve been recovering and getting myself ready to come back this weekend to play on Sunday.

Thank you for all the messages of support.”

ICEHOUSE would like to thank Zaccaria Concerts and Touring for their help and quick work in rescheduling the show. We would also like to thank all the other bands and their management teams, the venue, vendors and staff behind this large event.

A big shout out goes to ICEHOUSE’s amazing crew, for all their hard work getting into Perth last week and doing it all again this week!

ICEHOUSE would also like to thank all our friends and fans for their warm messages of support for Iva Davies, as well as your patience and understanding.

We’re REALLY looking forward to this Sunday and a great day of music By The C!

We know that this will come as an enormous disappointment, but our team are currently working hard on options and we will come back to you with more details and another announcement in the coming days.

Please hold on to your ticket for now in case the event is rescheduled in which case you will have the option to use your ticket or request a refund.

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE SHOW CANCELED

ICEHOUSE and promoter Live Nation regretfully announce that they have had to cancel ICEHOUSE's Great Southern Land 2022 - The Concert Series performance at the Sydney Opera House scheduled for next Monday, December 12th due to the ongoing aftereffects of Covid-19 on ICEHOUSE's founder, singer and composer, Iva Davies.

Iva Davies said, “I am so very, very sorry to have had to cancel this show. Any of you who know my history will be aware of how special my relationship with the Opera House is.”

“From the age of 14 I walked past it once a week to attend my oboe lessons at the Conservatorium when it was still a building site, little knowing that at 18 I would be playing in the orchestra in the new Opera Theatre for the first operas performed there. I performed on the Concert Hall stage as an oboist as well. I sang in two ballets that I composed for the Sydney Dance Company that opened in the Opera Theatre. And then, of course, there was the performance on the forecourt of the 25-minute extended piece “The Ghost of Time” based on “Great Southern Land” which led to the countdown into the new Millennium for Sydney.”

“So, you can imagine how disappointed I am, and that if there was any possible way I could do this performance then I would move heaven and earth to do so. I can only hope that we get another such opportunity to perform at the Opera House in 2023. Thank you all for your understanding.”

Iva Davies AM

Due to no alternative date being available at Sydney Opera House forecourt the December 12th concert has been cancelled so all existing ticket holders will be notified of how to obtain refunds via the official ticketing agency.

The ICEHOUSE concerts for Melbourne Myer Music Bowl on Saturday, February 11th and Brisbane Riverstage on Saturday, February 18th will go ahead as scheduled.

ICEHOUSE APPEARANCE CANCELED

We are sorry to report that Iva Davies has woken today with a painful and debilitating throat infection. He attended the soundcheck but cannot sing, ruling he and ICEHOUSE out of tonight’s performance at the VALO Adelaide 500.

Jimmy Barnes and Noiseworks will play extended sets. Local artists Workhorse and The Empty Threats will also perform, with interspersed sets by DJ Total Eclipse.
Here is the revised schedule for tonight’s show:
5.15pm – TOTAL ECLIPSE
5.50pm – WORKHORSE
6.15pm – TOTAL ECLIPSE
6.40pm – THE EMPTY THREATS
7.05pm – TOTAL ECLIPSE
7.30pm – NOISEWORKS
8.30pm – TOTAL ECLIPSE
9.00pm – JIMMY BARNES

BRISBANE SHOW POSTPONED

It is with great regret ICEHOUSE and promoter Live Nation are announcing the postponement of ICEHOUSE's Great Southern Land 2022 - The Concert Series performance at the Brisbane Riverstage scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 26. Iva Davies tested positive to COVID-19 recently which forced the cancellation of other performances. He has been self-isolating since but his illness doesn't allow for him to perform.

Iva Davies said, "Despite getting good care from my doctor since I was diagnosed with Covid-19, my condition hasn't improved. As with so many other Covid sufferers, the effects of the infection are lasting a lot longer than I hoped. The difficulties I am having with breathing mean that I cannot sing for the duration of an ICEHOUSE performance. The band and I are hugely disappointed not to play Riverstage as we have a long history with the venue - it has always been a special venue for its location plus the Brisbane crowds are always welcoming. We always want to give the concert-goers the best ICEHOUSE performance but as that isn't going to be possible next weekend, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone until February by which time we will be able to deliver the full ICEHOUSE concert in good health to our Brisbane friends and fans. I want to thank everyone who has sent well-wishing messages for my recovery."

The November 26 concert has been rescheduled to Saturday, 18 February, 2023, with the full line-up for this new date to be announced soon.

All existing ticket holders will be notified of this rescheduled date via the official ticketing agency and are requested to retain their tickets. Original purchases will be valid for the new date without the need for exchange.

The ICEHOUSE performance for Sydney on Monday December 12 will go ahead as scheduled.

For complete tour, ticket and VIP Experience information, visit Live Nation.

MELBOURNE SHOW POSTPONED

We are sorry to announce that ICEHOUSE and promoter Live Nation have had to postpone ICEHOUSE's Great Southern Land 2022 - The Concert Series performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl scheduled for this coming Saturday, November 19 as Iva Davies has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating.

Iva Davies said, "The band and I were all looking forward to playing on Saturday to the thousands of fans who have tickets. We have very strict protocols around our travel and performance schedule but somewhere I contracted Covid 19 despite all my vaccinations. I am devastated to have to postpone the concert but the impact of the infection means that I am having difficulty breathing and certainly couldn’t manage to sing a full show. Rather than try to battle through and not give the concert-goers the best ICEHOUSE experience possible, we have made the extremely difficult decision to postpone until next February by which time we will be able to deliver the full ICEHOUSE concert in good health to our Melbourne friends and fans."

The November 19 concert has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 11, 2023, with the full line-up for this new date to be announced soon.

All existing ticket holders will be notified of this rescheduled date via the official ticketing agency and are requested to retain their tickets. Original purchases will be valid for the new date without the need for exchange.

The ICEHOUSE dates for Brisbane on Saturday, November 26, and Sydney on Monday, December 12 will go ahead as scheduled.

For complete tour, ticket, and VIP Experience information visit Live Nation.

GREAT SOUTHERN LAND GALLERY LAUNCH

On Thursday, September 15th, ICEHOUSE had the pleasure of participating in the opening of a new, state-of-the-art gallery at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra. The Museum has launched the groundbreaking Great Southern Land environmental gallery, which explores Australia’s fundamental relationship to the land, incorporating the stories of the First Peoples who have lived on the continent for at least 65,000 years and the stories of all those who followed.

To celebrate the Great Southern Land gallery launch, we are announcing that ICEHOUSE will be performing in concert at the National Museum of Australia on Friday, November 4th. Tickets will go on sale at 9:30am on Friday, September 16th, and will be available at Eventbrite.

As part of the Great Southern Land gallery launch, the National Museum will display in its Gandel Atrium, a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 synthesizer, which is the same model of instrument used by Iva Davies to compose the 1982 hit song of the same name, Great Southern Land. Iva Davies said, “To have the song included as a part of the incredible project, that the National Museum of Australia has undertaken, to trace the history, diversity and the magic of our country is very humbling.” He added, “My thanks to the great team, who have put together the gallery and exhibition, for all their work and for including my song as part of their study of our Great Southern Land.”

“The ICEHOUSE band members and team are very excited to be able to play at the National Museum of Australia,” Iva said. He continued, “The location of the concert in the Museum during the opening months of the Great Southern Land exhibition gives us all a unique opportunity to celebrate not only 40 years of our song, but the unique story of our home country. This is going to be a very special event for us all.”

Trip The Switch Show Cancelled

Due to factors beyond our control, it is with deep regret that we have to announce that the Trip The Switch event which was to take place in Ipswich on July 3rd has been cancelled today based on advice from Queensland Health.

With the unfolding Covid-19 situation in Sydney and Queensland where both governments have imposed new restrictions and/or lockdowns due to the increased risk of transmission with the Delta Variant and Alpha Variant, tough restrictions have been implemented that prevent people from the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Area, where key band and crew members from several of the bands appearing at the event live, from entering Queensland.

The organisers, artists and technicians had applied for Travel Exemptions for these key personnel to be able to perform at Trip The Switch and had provided a detailed substantial Covid-19 management plan for them. However, given the unfolding and expanding pandemic fears in Sydney and Brisbane, the department saw the risk of transmission as potentially too great.

Because of this, the organisers have made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

Ticketholders will be contacted by Ticketmaster during Monday June 28th regarding refunds - please do not contact them before that as they will not be in a position to process refunds until Monday - and we urge anyone who had booked accommodation or made travel arrangements to cancel them today or as soon as possible.

We are sorry to disappoint our ICEHOUSE fans and friends - the band looks forward to performing again whenever that may be possible and to seeing you there.

Bendigo Show Cancelled

It is with great regret that ICEHOUSE announces that, due to Victoria’s current Covid-19 restrictions on gatherings, the performance at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre, scheduled for next Thursday June 24th will have to be cancelled.

Yesterday's announcements from the Victorian Government severely limit the number of patrons who can attend a venue and these mean that it isn’t possible for the previously Sold Out event to take place.

As ICEHOUSE has no touring plans at present where another date could be set, the band and promoter, Regional Touring, reluctantly agreed today to cancel the performance and refund ticketholders.

Everyone involved is saddened by having to do so and apologise for any inconvenience caused to the band’s fans and supporters as well as the local businesses, technical crew and other staff who are affected.

Ulumbarra Theatre box office will be in touch tomorrow (Friday June 18th) from 10am to process refunds to all ticket holders. There is no need to contact the venue directly.

ICEHOUSE looks forward to a time when the band can get back to perform in Bendigo.

THANK YOU BENDIGO!

The show at the Ulumbarra Theatre on June 24th is SOLD OUT!

ICEHOUSE would like to thank the good folks at Ulumbarra Theatre and Regional Touring.  The band would especially like to thank all of the fans who will be attending the show.  It will be great to see you all there!

New Show Announcement!

We are pleased to announce a new ICEHOUSE show! It has been four years since the band played in Bendigo, VIC, but they are now returning. On Thursday, June 24th, ICEHOUSE will be performing at the Ulumbarra Theatre. Tickets are onsale now at gotix.

By The C Cronulla - important information

We have been told that the promoters for the By The C show in Cronulla, NSW have received all permissions needed from the New South Wales authorities to go forward with the show. Due to this progress, the promoter has been able to make several hundred tickets available for this weekend’s show.

This show will be an assigned seated event, which was part of the agreement with the NSW Health Department. Please go to By The C to read the details regarding the show. The assigned seating arrangement is out of ICEHOUSE's control. If you have concerns regarding the seating assignment, please contact Zaccaria Concerts (info@zaccariaconcerts.com) and/or Ticketmaster.

ICEHOUSE will be headlining the show, which has a stellar lineup including James Reyne, Pete Murray, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Motor Ace. With the news of further tickets being made available, we hope more of you will be able to join ICEHOUSE on Saturday starting at 12pm at the Don Lucas Reserve in Cronulla. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

Zaccaria Concerts has made an incredible effort to make sure that this performance happens. Without their hard work, the show could not go forward.

Trip The Switch rescheduled

The promoters for Trip The Switch in Ipswich, Queensland, have informed us that the new date for the festival is Saturday, July 3rd, 2021.

ICEHOUSE will headline the show, with the original lineup of James Reyne, The Angels, Shannon Noll, Killing Heidi, Boom Crash Opera and Blues Arcadia remaining in place.
